    Carillon Assisted Living, a Raleigh-based company is in the business of building and operating assisted living facilities for the elderly is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist for our corporate office in Raleigh, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a successful, expanding company that is both locally owned and operating, and making an impact on the lives of our seniors in North Carolina.





    The Payroll Specialist will have many responsibilities, some of which are noted below:

    • Update and maintain ADP data base daily. Process paperwork for new hires, terminations, and rate/department changes timely for assigned communities.
    • Review all internally generated payroll information from the field locations for accuracy and electronically transmit to service for processing for assigned communities.
    • Review and prepare reports received from payroll processor to ensure accuracy.
    • Prepare payroll entries and communicate to accounting personnel for input into the general ledger.
    • Process and/or assist with onboarding and termination paperwork including I-9 and E-Verify as needed.
    • Assist with annual benefit open enrollment.
    • Reconcile vendor invoices to payroll deductions.
    • Prepare facility distribution report for A/P to process.
    • Assist with recruiting efforts as needed including job postings, candidate scheduling, and applicant tracking.
    • Provide support to field personnel for various payroll and/or HR issues.
    • Promote loyalty among staff and generate positive attitude within Raleigh by demonstrating support of Carillon policies and procedures.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.



    • Experience using ADP database (specifically Workforce Now 2017 version preferred).
    • Demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.
    • Experience working with personal computers, computerized accounting software, payroll and benefits software, and word processing software.
    • Demonstrates an ability to conduct self in a businesslike manner and to effectively deal with residents, guests and staff. Is friendly, cooperative, and outgoing.
    • Must possess excellent telephone communication skills.
